Ingredients

For the Turkey Filling:

1 lb ground turkey

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 small onion, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon ground cumin

1 teaspoon chili powder

1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

Salt and pepper, to taste

Juice of 1 lime

For the Mango Slaw:

2 cups green cabbage, shredded

1 ripe mango, diced

1/2 red bell pepper, thinly sliced

1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped

1 tablespoon honey

2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar

Salt and pepper, to taste

For Assembly:

8 small corn or flour tortillas

Sliced avocado, for topping

Lime wedges, for serving

Instructions

Prepare the Turkey Filling:

    - Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the finely chopped onion and sauté until it turns translucent, about 4-5 minutes.

      - Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant and golden.

        - Add the ground turkey to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spoon. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the turkey is browned and fully cooked, about 6-7 minutes.

          - Sprinkle in the ground cumin, chili powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir well to ensure the spices are evenly distributed throughout the meat.

            - Squeeze the lime juice over the turkey mixture, stirring everything together. Continue to cook for another 2 minutes, then remove from heat and set aside.

              Make the Mango Slaw:

                - In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded green cabbage, diced mango, and thinly sliced red bell pepper.

                  - In a separate small bowl, whisk together the honey, apple cider vinegar, and a pinch of salt and pepper until well incorporated.

                    - Drizzle the dressing over the slaw ingredients and toss gently to coat everything evenly. Add the chopped cilantro and mix again before setting aside.

                      Heat the Tortillas:

                        - In a dry skillet over medium heat, heat each tortilla for about 30 seconds on each side, or until they become warm and pliable. Keep the warmed tortillas covered in a clean kitchen towel to maintain heat.

                          Assemble the Tacos:

                            - Take a warm tortilla and place a generous spoonful of the turkey filling in the center.

                              - Top the turkey with a scoop of mango slaw and add a few slices of creamy avocado.

                                - Serve immediately, with lime wedges on the side for an extra burst of fresh flavor!

                                  Prep Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 30 minutes | Servings: 4

Presentation Tips: Serve the tacos on a colorful platter, with the lime wedges nestled beside them. Consider adding a sprinkle of extra cilantro on top for a vibrant garnish. Enjoy your colorful and tropical culinary creation!
