Ingredients

4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs (for enhanced flavor)

1/4 cup Sriracha sauce

1/4 cup honey

2 tablespoons soy sauce

2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger

1 tablespoon sesame oil

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)

Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Marinade: In a medium bowl, whisk together the Sriracha sauce, honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, minced garlic, grated ginger, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper until all ingredients are fully integrated and smooth.

Marinate the Chicken: Place the chicken thighs in a large resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring each piece is evenly coated. Seal the bag securely, or cover the dish with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or, for optimal flavor, overnight.

Preheat the Oven: When you’re ready to cook, preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) to prepare for baking.

Bake the Chicken: Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil for easy cleanup. Position a wire rack on top of the foil. Remove the chicken from the marinade (reserving the marinade for later) and arrange the thighs on the rack, skin-side up. Bake in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes.

Prepare the Glaze: While the chicken is baking, pour the reserved marinade into a small saucepan. Heat it over medium flame until it reaches a boil, then reduce to a simmer. Let it cook for approximately 5 minutes until it thickens slightly, then remove from heat.

Broil for Crispiness: After 30 minutes of baking, take the chicken out of the oven. Generously brush the thickened glaze over the top of the chicken thighs. Turn on the oven broiler and place the chicken back in the oven. Broil for 5-7 minutes, watching closely until the skin is crispy and beautifully caramelized.

Rest and Garnish: Once broiling is complete, remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for about 5 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute, resulting in tender meat. Before serving, sprinkle with sliced green onions and sesame seeds for an added pop of color and flavor.

Serve and Enjoy: Plate the chicken thighs and serve them hot alongside steamed rice or your choice of vegetable side dishes for a well-rounded meal.
