1 lb (450g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined

1 tablespoon olive oil

2 teaspoons chili powder

1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust for desired spice level)

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

2 ripe avocados, mashed until smooth

Juice of 1 small lime

1 small onion, finely chopped

1 medium tomato, diced

1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped

1 jalapeño, seeded and finely chopped (optional for extra heat)

Tortilla chips, for serving

Instructions
 

Prepare the Shrimp: In a medium mixing bowl, combine the peeled and deveined shrimp with olive oil, chili powder, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Toss the shrimp well to ensure they are evenly coated with the spice mixture. Allow the shrimp to marinate for about 15 minutes to develop the flavors.

    Cook the Shrimp: Heat a skillet over medium-high heat until hot. Add the marinated shrimp to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the shrimp turn pink and opaque. Once cooked, remove them from the heat and let them cool slightly before chopping them into bite-sized pieces.

      Make the Guacamole: In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed avocados with the juice of the lime, finely chopped onion, diced tomato, chopped cilantro, and optional jalapeño.
