Ingredients

2 pounds chicken wings, separated into flats and drumettes

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust according to your heat preference)

1 teaspoon ground black pepper

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon baking powder (to enhance crispiness)

1/4 cup hot sauce (such as Frank's RedHot or your preferred brand)

2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Celery sticks and blue cheese dressing (for serving)

Instructions

Prep the Chicken Wings:

    - Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and then thoroughly pat them dry with paper towels. Removing excess moisture is key to achieving a crisp texture in the air fryer.

      Season the Wings:

        - In a large mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, black pepper, salt, and baking powder. Stir the mixture until well blended.

          - Add the chicken wings to the bowl and toss them gently until they are evenly coated with the spice blend, ensuring every wing is generously seasoned.

            Air Fry the Wings:

              - Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for around 5 minutes.

                - Carefully place the wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring there is space between each wing to promote even cooking (you may need to do this in batches if necessary).

                  - Air fry the wings for 25-30 minutes, flipping them halfway through the cooking time. They should come out golden brown and crispy.

                    Prepare the Spicy Sauce:

                      - While the wings are air frying, mix the hot sauce and melted butter in a small bowl until smooth and well combined, creating a rich and tangy sauce.

                        Toss in Sauce:

                          - Once the wings are cooked to perfection, transfer them to a clean large bowl. Drizzle the hot sauce mixture over the wings and toss them gently until they are completely coated in the spicy sauce.

                            Serve:

                              - Arrange the spicy wings on a serving platter and garnish with fresh chopped parsley for a pop of color. Serve with celery sticks and a side of blue cheese dressing for dipping.
