Ingredients

1 large flatbread (store-bought or homemade, approximately 10-12 inches)

2 ripe peaches, thinly sliced

1 ball of fresh burrata cheese (about 8 ounces)

1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil

1 teaspoon balsamic glaze (plus extra for drizzling)

1 teaspoon honey (optional, for added sweetness)

1 small handful of fresh basil leaves, torn into pieces

Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Crushed red pepper flakes (optional, for a hint of heat)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 400°F (200°C). If using a pizza stone for a crispier base, place it in the oven to heat up.

Prepare the Flatbread: Take the flatbread and place it on a baking sheet or directly onto the preheated pizza stone. Lightly brush the surface of the flatbread with olive oil to promote a crispy texture during baking.

Layer the Peaches: Evenly arrange the thinly sliced peaches over the flatbread. Spread them out so each bite is infused with their natural sweetness.

Add the Burrata: Gently tear the burrata cheese into chunks and scatter them across the peach slices. The creamy ribbons of burrata will offer a delightful contrast to the juicy peaches.

Seasoning: Drizzle the balsamic glaze over the flatbread to add a tangy depth of flavor. Then, sprinkle with salt and pepper. For those who enjoy a hint of sweetness, drizzle honey over the peach pieces.

Bake: Slide the flatbread onto the middle rack of the preheated oven. Bake for approximately 10-12 minutes, or until the flatbread is golden and crispy, and the burrata is gently warmed and slightly melty.

Finishing Touches: Once baked, remove the flatbread from the oven and allow it to cool for a minute. Meanwhile, scatter the torn basil leaves on top for a fresh burst of flavor, and if desired, add a sprinkle of crushed red pepper flakes for warmth.

Serve: Just before serving, add an additional drizzle of balsamic glaze and a touch more olive oil for flavor. Slice the flatbread into wedges and serve immediately, perfect as an appetizer or a light meal.
