Ingredients

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

Salt and black pepper, to taste

2 tablespoons olive oil

3 cloves garlic, finely minced

1 cup sun-dried tomatoes, roughly chopped

1 cup fresh spinach, packed

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup low-sodium chicken broth

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)

Fresh basil leaves, for garnish

Instructions

Prepare the Chicken: Begin by seasoning both sides of the chicken breasts generously with salt and black pepper, allowing the seasoning to adhere well to the meat.

Sear the Chicken: In a large skillet, pour in the olive oil and heat it over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the seasoned chicken breasts. Sear for about 5-7 minutes on each side until they develop a golden brown crust and are cooked through to an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C). Once done, remove them from the skillet and set aside on a plate.

Sauté the Garlic and Tomatoes: Without cleaning the skillet, add the minced garlic and chopped sun-dried tomatoes. Sauté for 1-2 minutes, stirring frequently, until the garlic is fragrant and just starting to turn golden.

Add Spinach and Cream: Next, add the fresh spinach to the skillet, stirring gently until it begins to wilt, which should take about 1 minute. Once wilted, pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth. Stir the mixture thoroughly to combine.

Incorporate Cheese and Seasonings: Gradually add the grated Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes if you’re using them. Stir continuously until the cheese melts into the sauce and the mixture thickens slightly, which will take around 3-5 minutes.

Return Chicken to the Skillet: Carefully place the seared chicken breasts back into the skillet with the creamy sauce. Spoon some of the sauce over the chicken. Allow it to simmer gently for about 2-3 minutes, just until the chicken is heated through.

Finish with Fresh Basil: Before serving, garnish the dish with freshly torn basil leaves for an enticing aroma and fresh flavor that elevates the dish.

                  - Presentation Tips: Serve the creamy Tuscan chicken on a warm plate, with a sprinkle of extra Parmesan and a few basil leaves on top for added color and freshness. Pair with a side of crusty bread or over a bed of pasta for a complete meal.
