Mini Turkey & Avocado Breakfast Sliders

Ingredients
  

1 pound ground turkey

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

Salt and pepper, to taste

8 slider buns

1 ripe avocado, mashed

4 slices of cheddar cheese

4 slices of crispy cooked bacon, crumbled

1 cup fresh spinach leaves

Optional: hot sauce or sriracha for serving

Instructions
 

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey along with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Gently mix the ingredients using your hands or a spatula until just combined—be careful not to overmix, as this can make the patties tough.

    Preheat a non-stick skillet or grill pan over medium heat. While the pan is heating up, shape the turkey mixture into small patties that are roughly the same size as the slider buns, ensuring they are uniform for even cooking.

      Once the pan is hot, add the turkey patties and cook them for about 3-4 minutes on one side. Flip the patties and continue cooking for another 3-4 minutes, or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C). During the last minute of cooking, top each patty with a slice of cheddar cheese and cover the skillet with a lid to help the cheese melt.

        While the turkey patties are cooking, take another skillet or a toaster oven and lightly toast the slider buns until they are golden brown and slightly crisp. This helps to enhance their flavor and texture.

          To assemble the sliders, start by spreading a generous layer of the mashed avocado over the bottom half of each slider bun. This adds creaminess and great flavor.

            Place the cooked turkey patties, now adorned with melted cheese, directly on top of the mashed avocado. Sprinkle crumbled bacon over each patty, followed by a handful of fresh spinach leaves for a pop of color and crunch.

              For those who like a bit of heat, drizzle some hot sauce or sriracha over the toppings before placing the top halves of the slider buns on each assembled slider.
