Ingredients

1 lb ground chicken

1 tablespoon taco seasoning

1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

1 cup shredded romaine lettuce

1 cup diced ripe tomatoes

1 package (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough

1/2 cup sour cream

1/2 cup guacamole

Olive oil, for brushing

Fresh cilantro leaves, for garnish

Optional: sliced jalapeños for added heat

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C) so it's ready for baking.

Cook the Chicken: In a medium skillet, heat over medium heat. Add the ground chicken and cook thoroughly, breaking it apart with a spatula. Once browned and no longer pink, drain any excess fat. Stir in the taco seasoning and continue cooking for another 2-3 minutes until the mixture is well combined and heated through.

Prepare the Crescent Dough: Carefully unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into individual triangles, setting them aside for assembly.

Form the Taco Ring: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. To create a ring, start placing the triangles in a circle with the wider ends facing outwards, slightly overlapping each triangle. Leave a sizable open space in the center for the filling.

Fill the Ring: Spoon the cooked chicken mixture into the center of the dough ring, spreading it evenly. Then, sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top of the chicken to add a rich flavor.

Wrap the Dough: Take the pointed ends of the triangles and fold them over the filling, tucking them under the dough on the baking sheet. Brush the tops of the wrapped triangles lightly with olive oil to achieve a beautiful golden color during baking.

Bake the Taco Ring: Place the baking sheet in your preheated oven. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the crescent dough is golden brown and fully cooked.

Garnish and Serve: Once baked, remove the taco ring from the oven and allow it to cool for a few minutes. Top it generously with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and fresh cilantro for a colorful finish. Serve with dollops of sour cream and guacamole on the side. For those who enjoy some spice, add sliced jalapeños on top or serve on the side.

                  Prep Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 35 minutes | Servings: 4-6

Presentation Tips: Arrange the taco ring on a large serving platter and garnish the entire ring with additional cilantro leaves. Serve the sour cream and guacamole in small bowls next to the ring for a vibrant display.
