1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 cup diced red onion

1 avocado, diced

1 jalapeño, sliced (optional, for added heat)

1 teaspoon ground cumin

1 teaspoon chili powder

1 tablespoon olive oil

Salt and pepper, to taste

Sour cream and salsa, for serving

Preheat the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 400°F (200°C) to prepare for toasting the baguette.

    Prepare the Baguette: Place the sliced pieces of baguette on a large baking sheet. Lightly brush each slice with olive oil, then sprinkle a pinch of salt over them. Bake in the preheated oven for about 5-7 minutes or until the slices are golden and slightly toasted. Once done, remove from the oven and set aside to cool slightly.
