Ingredients

1 pound ground chicken

4 ounces Swiss cheese, shredded

4 ounces ham, diced

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 large egg, beaten

1 cup breadcrumbs (Panko for extra crunch is recommended)

12 slider buns

Butter, for toasting the buns

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Chicken Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, thoroughly combine the ground chicken, shredded Swiss cheese, diced ham, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and beaten egg. Use your hands or a wooden spoon to ensure all ingredients are evenly mixed, creating a cohesive mixture.

Form the Sliders: Take about 2 tablespoons of the chicken mixture and shape it into a small patty, roughly 2 inches in diameter. Repeat this process until all mixture is formed into patties, yielding about 12 sliders.

Coat the Patties: In a shallow plate, pour the breadcrumbs. Carefully dip each chicken patty into the breadcrumbs, making sure both sides are well-coated. This step ensures a satisfying crunch when cooked.

Cook the Patties: Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium heat and add a splash of oil to the pan. Place the breaded patties in the skillet and cook for approximately 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they achieve a golden brown color and are cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F).

Toast the Buns: While the patties are cooking, melt a knob of butter in another skillet (or reuse the one you cooked the patties in). Toast the slider buns in the melted butter until both sides are beautifully golden.

Assemble the Sliders: On the bottom half of each toasted bun, place one cooked chicken patty. If desired, add an extra slice of Swiss cheese on top of the patty for additional cheesiness, then cap it with the top half of the bun.

Garnish and Serve: Optionally, sprinkle the sliders with freshly chopped parsley for a pop of color and freshness. Serve the sliders warm alongside your favorite dipping sauces, such as honey mustard or ranch dressing.
