Ingredients

1 cup Greek yogurt (plain or vanilla)

2 cups fresh or dried figs, chopped

1/4 cup honey (adjust for your preference)

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon sea salt

1/4 cup chopped walnuts or almonds (optional, for added crunch)

1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional, for a zesty kick)

Instructions

Prepare the Figs:

    - For fresh figs: Rinse them under cold water, remove the stems, and chop them into small bite-sized pieces.

      - For dried figs: Soak them in warm water for approximately 10 minutes to soften, then drain and chop them into small pieces.

        Combine Ingredients:

          - In a medium-sized mixing bowl, add the Greek yogurt, honey, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and sea salt.

            - Use a whisk or spoon to mix the ingredients thoroughly until you achieve a smooth, well-combined mixture. Taste and adjust the sweetness by adding more honey if desired.

              Fold in Figs and Nuts:

                - Gently incorporate the chopped figs into the yogurt mixture, followed by the optional walnuts or almonds for that delightful crunch.

                  - If you wish to add a tangy flavor, drizzle in the lemon juice during this step.

                    Prepare the Pan:

                      - Line an 8x8-inch square baking dish (or a similarly sized container) with parchment paper, ensuring the paper hangs over the edges slightly for easy removal later.

                        Pour the Mixture:

                          - Carefully pour the yogurt and fig mixture into the prepared dish.

                            - Use a spatula to spread the mixture evenly across the pan, smoothing out the top to create an even surface.

                              Freeze:

                                - Cover the dish tightly with plastic wrap or a lid to prevent ice crystals from forming.

                                  - Place it in the freezer for a minimum of 4 hours, or until the mixture is completely firm and set.

                                    Cut into Bars:

                                      - Once frozen, take the dish out of the freezer.

                                        - Lift the frozen yogurt block out of the pan using the parchment paper overhang, and place it on a cutting board.

                                          - Cut it into bars of your preferred size.

                                            Serve and Enjoy:

                                              - Serve the bars immediately for a refreshing treat or store them in an airtight container in the freezer. They will keep well for up to two weeks.

                                                - Enjoy these deliciously creamy delights straight from the freezer!
