Preheat the Air Fryer: Set your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) and allow it to preheat for about 5 minutes.
Cook the Meat: In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef or turkey. Once browned, drain excess fat, then stir in the taco seasoning along with a splash of water (as instructed on the packet). Cook until the seasoning is well mixed and the mixture is heated through, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat.
Assemble the Rolls: Lay out the crescent roll dough on a clean surface. Separate the dough into triangles as per the perforations. Place a spoonful of the taco meat mixture at the wide end of each triangle. Sprinkle with a little chopped onion and cheddar cheese, then add a small spoonful of salsa.
Roll Them Up: Starting at the wide end, roll each triangle up towards the point to encase the filling. Make sure to pinch the seams to seal them.
Prepare for Air Frying: Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Place the rolled tacos in the basket, ensuring they are not overcrowded (you may need to do these in batches).
Air Fry: Cook the taco rolls in the air fryer for about 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
Serve: Once cooked, carefully remove the rolls from the air fryer. Serve hot with optional toppings like sour cream, guacamole, diced tomatoes, shredded lettuce, and sliced jalapeños.
