1 lb (450g) boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cubed

2 cups fresh broccoli florets

1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, grated

1 cup heavy cream

1 small onion, finely chopped

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon garlic powder

Salt and pepper, to taste

½ cup chicken broth

1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

Sauté the Chicken: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the cubed chicken and season with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder. Cook the chicken for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it is browned on the outside and no longer pink in the center. Once cooked, remove the chicken from the skillet and place it on a plate to keep warm.

    Cook the Vegetables: Using the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add the finely chopped onion. Sauté the onion for 3-4 minutes, or until it becomes translucent. Next, add the minced garlic and sauté for an additional 1 minute, stirring continuously until fragrant.

      Add Broccoli: Toss in the fresh broccoli florets and sauté for approximately 3-4 minutes, allowing them to brighten in color and become slightly tender, but still crisp.

        Create the Cream Sauce: Pour the chicken broth and heavy cream into the skillet, stirring everything together. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, allowing it to thicken slightly for about 3-5 minutes.

          Combine and Melt: Reduce the heat to low and return the sautéed chicken to the skillet. Add the grated sharp cheddar cheese and the fresh lemon juice.
