12 large cremini or portobello mushrooms

1 cup cream cheese, softened to room temperature

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/4 cup Italian-style breadcrumbs

2 cloves garlic, finely minced

1/4 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped

1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

Salt and pepper, to taste

Olive oil spray for cooking

Prep the Mushrooms: Begin by carefully twisting and removing the stems from the mushrooms. Set the stems aside for the filling. Using a damp paper towel, gently wipe each mushroom cap to remove any dirt or debris, ensuring they are clean and ready for stuffing.

    Make the Filling: Take the reserved mushroom stems and finely chop them. In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped stems with the softened cream cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, minced garlic, chopped parsley, dried oregano, smoked paprika, salt, and freshly ground pepper. Mix thoroughly until you have a creamy filling that is easy to spoon into the mushroom caps.

      Stuff the Mushrooms: Using a spoon or a small spatula, take a generous portion of the filling and carefully stuff each mushroom cap, pressing down lightly to ensure they are well filled. Be cautious not to overstuff, as the filling may spill during cooking.

        Prepare for Air Frying: Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Lightly spray the air fryer basket with olive oil to create a non-stick surface for the mushrooms.

          Cook the Mushrooms: Arrange the stuffed mushrooms in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they do not touch each other to allow even cooking. Air fry for approximately 10-12 minutes, or until the mushrooms are tender and the topping is beautifully golden brown.
